Pool
The pool division of the club is very active and meets on Monday evenings from 7.00pm for informal practice.
The pool club currently has two competitive teams.
During the winter months both teams compete in the Club Pool Association competition. These matches are played on Wednesday nights, with one team playing at home and the other away.
During the summer months the teams compete in the Perth Eight Ball Federation competition. Depending on the division that the team is playing in, these matches are played on either a Tuesday or a Wednesday night and can be at a variety of locations.
Throughout the year the Pool Club holds a monthly competition which is open to all members of the club. This competition is held on the Third Thursday of each month.
Once a year the Pool club combines with the Darts club to host the MAAC annual sports day which is usually held on a Sunday afternoon and is open to all members. A member may enter one or more of the singles or doubles, darts or pool events. The trophies for these events are presented at the MAAC Annual Awards night.
The Pool Club also hosts the annual Bill Kerr memorial Juniors pool competition in the Southern Bar area. This is usually held on a Sunday afternoon during the Juniors season. This competition involves both the Junior and a parent and is a fun day.
All pool competitions are run based upon the World Eight Ball Federation rules. These rules can be found by following this link to the federation's website www.wepf.org
Details of Pool Club special events are advertised in the monthly newsletter and also the weekly Grapevine.
